Zar. Vocalist John Lawton and guitarist Thomas Clauss had played in the hard rock band Rebel together (along with Peter Garattoni) in the '80s, releasing the album "Stargazer" in '82 followed by 4 years of gigging. They founded Zar together in '88. The debut album, "Live Your Life Forever" was in the melodic metal/hard rock vein.
