Joan Jett & The Blackhearts – Mindsets (EP) (2023)

JOAN JETT and her band The Blackhearts are presenting today ”Mindsets”, their first release of all new material since 2014. Last year Joan Jett and The Blackhearts put out an acoustic record, ‘Changeup’, which featured new versions of classic hits. Fortunately ”Mindsets” returns to what Jett does best: rocking electrified tunes with attittude.

Joan Jett and The Blackhearts will be busy on the road this summer. They have headline planned shows, and then on June 6 they’ll kick off a tour with Bryan Adams in Baltimore, Maryland. 2022 Jett toured with Def Leppard, Motley Crue and Poison for an epic Stadium Tour that became one of the most popular tours of the year.
Among the new songs there’s the retro ‘If You’re Blue’ which sounds like taken from a ’70s record, the urgent riff-driven ‘Shooting Into Space’, the bluesy ‘Rear View Mirror’ and the punkish ‘(Make the Music Go) Boom’, all with a lively feel and around the 3-minute mark.

Tracklist:
1. If You're Blue (3:15)
2 Whiskey Goes Good (2:56)
3. Shooting Into Space (2:59)
4. Rear View Mirror (3:04)
5. Before the Dawn (3:13)
6. (Make the Music Go) Boom (3:30)
