IRON MAIDEN – Killers On The Loose 1981 [Japan release remastered] (2022)
As requested, here’s the Japanese CD release of IRON MAIDEN concert captured 1981-04-28 at Nijmegen, The Netherlands. There has been a lot of bootleg versions of this show, but none sounds as good as this fresh one titled “Killers On The Loose 1981“.
This release doesn’t feature the complete set list, but sound quality is better than any previous version. Quality even gets better since track 3, ‘Purgatory’. Of course, we find the Iron Maiden classic early line-up, and all the great tunes i.e. ‘Phantom of the Opera’, ‘Iron Maiden’, ‘Killers’, ‘Drifter’, et all.
Hot n’ raw prime Iron Maiden.
This show was part the second half of the European leg of the Killer World Tour ’81, the band’s first world tour, which lasted from February 1981 to the end of the year. Paul Dianno resulted a punk-attitude spitting singer, which may be another reason why metal bands were popular also among former punks. But Dianno had a severe drug problem that caused him to cancel shows frequently. The day before this show in Holland was also cancelled.
Anyway, Maiden was already an oiled machine at the time of this tour, and they simply kills.
Highly Recommended
