The Session: With Billy Joel, Don Crawford, REO Speedwagon, Head East. Innovative weekly half hour music performance series produced as a local PBS program by Southern Illinois University, and then picked up as a summer series by the PBS Network in 1971. Created by Bruce Scafe, one of the forces behind Austin City Limits years later.
