D’Ercole – Near Death Experience 2024, MP3+FLAC
Album after album, D’Ercole prove to be able to deliver quality melodic hard rock. Sometimes mixed with a dash of progressive influences. So expect 2 epic 8 plus minutes tracks in Holy Ground and Cryin’ Over You. And on occasion they surprise us with adding a reworked version of a classic song. In this case that would be a fantastic beefed up version of Stealin’ from the mighty Uriah Heep.
Of course there will always be foot stomping, air guitar slinging and headbanging tracks for you to enjoy. Whether it’s the opener Lone Survivor, Until It’s Gone or Turn Back Now, we know what we are going to get.
Album after album, D’ERCOLE showcases improvement in the songwriting & technical department, and prove to be able to deliver quality melodic hard rock, sometimes mixed with a dash of progressive influences.
Released today, ”Near Death Experience” is the new album from the band founded by brothers D’Ercole, including Phil Vincent on vocals, and Vince O’Regan precise guitar solos. At first listen it’s clear this is the most complete work from the band, and the best produced. Indeed, D’ERCOLE gets better and better.
The guitars never were that massive, multi-tracked as on this new effort. There’s vibrant hard rockers, some melodic catchy numbers, and a couple of progressive tinged tracks. Additionally the band does a cover of Uriah Heep’s ‘Stealin’’ (written by Ken Hensley), providing a classic rock touch to this varied yet cohesive new album.
For usual D’Ercole foot stomping, air guitar slinging tracks just push play on opener ‘Lone Survivor’, ‘Until It’s Gone’ or ‘Turn Back Now’. For the rockers with a progressive development check out ‘Holy Ground’ and ‘Cryin’ Over You’. All well thought, arranged and performed songs.
As said, ”Near Death Experience” is a big step forward for D’ERCOLE, from songwriting to production. And it’s a very entertaining CD.
