Die Vinnie Vincent Invasion war eine Glam-Metal-Band, die sich 1985 um den ehemaligen Kiss-Gitarristen Vinnie Vincent gegründet hatte und bis 1988 existierte. Vinnie Vincent, der Ace Frehley bei Kiss nachgefolgt war, wollte 1985 eine Solokarriere starten und nahm daher unter anderem mit Ex-Journey-Sänger

Based on the strength of his Kiss contributions, Vincent secured a solo deal with Chrysalis Records, where he assembled a new band he called the Vinnie Vincent Invasion.

Vinnie Vincent Invasion's rollicking self-titled debut recalls the post-make-up era of KISS, which was critically mauled, introducing new members and musical styles, thus alienating their 1970s devotees vehemently opposed to their latest material being aimed squarely at the MTV generation.
