Senses – Out Of Line – 2024

Yeah, do it. Judge this album by its cover. “Out Of Line“, the debut album from Greek band SENSES is pure Eighties neon lights / fast cars Melodic Hard Rock / AOR inspired music, and very catchy.

Founded by guitarist / songwriter Dim Argio in 2022, SENSES draw inspiration from ’80s culture. During the recordings, John Agkor and John Fill were also added, creating a ‘band’ feel. Renowned Bob Katsionis produced & recorded, also play some keyboards.
At first glance and looking the cover art we thought about synthwave music, but no, while some tracks are heavy on keyboards & synths, this is mostly a guitar driven melodic hard collection of songs, with strong lead vocals as well.
No tricks here, just fun and well done ’80s stuff – you can’t go wrong with titles such as ‘Hard Action’, ‘Out Of Line’, ‘Under Your Spell’.

“Out Of Line” is a labor of love, made by musicians with passion for ’80s music. There’s a melodic rock scene in Greece since many years ago, and we can say there’s a special type of sound from there.
Add Senses to the list. Strong songs, very good ideas, and fine musicianship. A better drum sound would’ve benefited this debut album, well, something to improve with next album. Yeah Dim, we encourage you to keep evolving the Senses project.
