KEEL – The Right To Rock Tour [Detroit 1985 WLLZ]

Also requested here for some unreleased KEEL, here’s the excellent concert the band performed in Detroit during ‘The Right To Rock Tour’. There was an arrangement with local FM 106.7 WLLZ Classic Rock radio and the show hosted by Doug Podell (the Doc of Rock) for a broadcast.

Keel performed a superb set-list, and the sound quality is fantastic for this type of unofficial recordings. This “The Right To Rock Tour [Detroit 1985 WLLZ]” is a perfect testimony of how good KEEL were alive; the guitars bite, the rhythm section pumps, Ron is a big shouter, and all contribute solid backing / harmony vocals.
The set-list include almost the entire ‘The Right To Rock’ album, many from previous ‘Lay Down the Law’ (1984), a Steeler track, and a still then unreleased song from their upcoming ‘The Final Frontier’ LP.
We can’t recommend “The Right To Rock Tour [Detroit 1985 WLLZ]” enough > killer stuff!!!

It's one of those guilty pleasures for me, 'cos some of their songs can be so dumb, but on the other hand they can also be a lot of fun. With this album, containing some hard, pounding songs, including the rapid "Speed Demon", Keel really gives us the Right to Rock.
