Bulgaria is a small country that offers an astonishing diversity of natural beauty: vast grasslands, spectacular mountains, sun-kissed fields, fine-sand beaches, white-water rivers, cool deep ponds, and the renowned rose valleys. It’s a place definitely worth a visit but if you can’t make it just yet, give Dimitar Nalbantov’s music a try.
His new album “Gora,” which will be released on August 30, 2014, gives a very good idea of what Bulgaria is like. It was inspired by Nalbantov’s walks in the Rhodope Mountains and that is why it is no surprise that the music pays tribute to the folklore tradition of that region.
