Brainticket – Past, Present & Future 2015

BRAINTICKET is a Krautrock / Progressive Rock artist from Switzerland.
Brainticket is the brainchild of Joel Vandroogenbroeck, a Belgian based in Switzerland who grew up studying classical piano before switching to jazz. He received the Art Tatum prize as “youngest jazz pianist” at the tender age of fifteen, and was soon touring around Europe and Africa. By 1967, Joel was still playing jazz but he found new inspiration in the sounds emanating from German krautrock artists Amon Duul II, Can and Tangerine Dream.

Die beiden Folgealben Psychonaut & Celestial Ocean schlossen gemäßigter daran an und dann war erst mal Ruhe mit Brainticket. Es folgten zwei Alben in den Achtzigern und 2000 "Alchemic Universe". Nach nun fast fünfzehn Jahren Pause gibt es mit "Past Present & Future" endlich wieder eine Scheibe der Band.

Past Present & Future is the coming together of ideas Brainticket layed out over the course of 40 years and is an awe-inspiring way for the once legendary Krautrock group to make a triumphant return.
