More Information

Originally released in 2002 as KCCC21 The Champaign-Urbana sessions from January 1983 documents the struggle to come up with a third King Crimson album by the line-up that had brought us Discipline (1981) and Beat (1982).

These haphazard bits and pieces were recorded during a two-week confab held by King Crimson in early 1983 between the Beat (1982) and Three of a Perfect Pair (1984) albums.

The Champaign-Urbana Sessions is an album of studio sessions and rehearsals by the band King Crimson, released through the King Crimson Collectors' Club in December 2002. These were originally intended for their album Three of a Perfect Pair, but the material was scrapped and the group would re-convene at several later dates. [1]
