For me, "You Are What You Is" is the embodiment of all that was FZ at the time of its release in September 1981. It's accessible to those unfamiliar with his work. It's mind-bogglingly layered, both lyrically and musically, with complex overdubs - embedded with a wealth of conceptual continuity references for the hardcore follower.
