Der große Durchbruch kam 1982 mit dem Titel Eye of the Tiger, den die Gruppe eigens als Titelsong für den Film Rocky III - Das Auge des Tigers komponiert hatte. Der Rocky-Darsteller Sylvester Stallone wollte ursprünglich den Titel Another One Bites the Dust von Queen verwenden, bekam von Queen aber nicht die Rechte dafür.
