The Danish artist Kim Larsen died yesterday aged 72 (cancer).He was a very influential musician in most of Scandinavia (primary Denmark, Norway, Iceland & Sweden), and stayed popular till this day. His death has been frontpage news on the newspapers in at least these 4 scandinavian countries today.His first band Gasolin more or less defined the sound in rock in the mid seventies in specially Denmark.

Gasolin' (also called Gas 1) is the debut studio album by Danish rock band Gasolin'. It was released in November 1971 by CBS Records. Instead of boogie rock and catchy tunes, they relied on creating songs with a moody feel such as "Langebro", "Fra dag til dag" and "Tremastet beton". Gasolin' had their prime time from 1972 to 1978, and released eight studio albums and two live albums in that period, plus two English versions of their 3rd and 5th studio albums.
