Mein Fazit: Wer sich zur Fangemeinde von OVERKILL zählt, klassischen Thrash-Metal mag, der wird sicherlich bei "The Wings of War" auf seine Kosten kommen. Knüppelharter und rotzig dreckiger Metal, garniert mit schönen Melodien und ein bisschen Punk - das hat in den 80ern gewirkt und hat bis heute seinen Reiz nicht verloren.
