Robert Morley, (born May 26, 1908, Semley, Wiltshire, Eng.—died June 3, 1992, Reading, Berkshire), prolific English actor, director, and playwright whose forte was comedy and comedy-drama. Morley was a graduate of the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art , London, and made his professional debut in Margate in 1928.
