This year on june 16 he celebrated his 60th birthday and released his 20 th solo release Gratitude which is a homage to his heroes Gary Moore, Jeff Beck and Robin Trower. His past bands include Gringos Locos, Guitar Slingers, Leningrad Cowboys, Wishbone Ash, Los Bastardos Finlandeses.

Inspiriert wurde der Finne unter anderem von so bekannten Gitarristen wie Jeff Beck, Gary Moore, Robin Trower und Michael Landau.
