The H Factor (Peter Haycock, Derek Holt & Steve Hunter) – The H Factor (1989)

The band was a collaboration between Perter Haycock (Guitar), Derek Holt (Bass, Keyboard, Vocals) both of Climax Blues Band and Steve Hunter (Guitar) (Lou Reed, Alice Cooper). The album was recorded in the UK (Birmingham, Stoke) and California, USA (Los Angeles, North Hollywood). Drums was supplied by Brendan Day in the UK and Bruce Gary on the US recordings.
It was the only album release from the collaboration.

After that tour, in 1989, Haycock teamed up with Holt and guitarist Steve Hunter to record an album under the name the H Factor. The Pete Haycock Band consisted of the musicians from the Total Climax lineup, and went on to record a live album titled Livin' It in 1992.

We will fast forward to the '80s. By 1980, Derek Holt, Colin Cooper and Pete Haycock were the only original members left in Climax Blues Band. The band had released 11 albums up to that point and their biggest hit single was 1976's "Couldn't Get It Right".
